The Wood County Jail, located at 1960 East Gypsy Lane Rd.  Bowling Green, Ohio is full service jail, first occupied in June of 1990.  The Wood County Jail and has a staff of over 50 deputies involved in the daily operations of our 224 bed facility.

The staff is responsible for the safety and well-being of each inmate, and strives to maintain full accreditation with the standards set forth by the Bureau of Adult Detention of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.

The Wood County Jail maintains medical and mental health care provided by Southern Health Partners Healthcare for our inmates and operates a full service kitchen to feed its inmates and detainees of the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center and Juvenile Residential Center.

Further, the jail maintains a satellite branch of the Wood County Public Library and provides services such as GED, AA, Anger Management and Religious programs for its inmates.

Information pertaining to an inmate’s court hearing or court status should be obtained from the court where the hearing was held. The Wood County Jail will only release the current bond status of an inmate and an anticipated release date (if applicable).
