The Wood County Sheriff’s Office will once again be holding its Citizen’s Police Academy. This academy will start on Thursday, September 14, 2023 and will continue for 10 weeks every Thursday evening until November 16, 2023. Classes are held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
This academy is an opportunity for the citizens of Wood County to see first-hand what happens in the office. Most citizens do not know the extent of the duties and responsibilities that lies within the Office of Sheriff.
Qualifications
*18 years of age or older
*Reside in or employed in Wood County
*Successfully pass a criminal history check
